I like to oot, oot, oot ooples and banoonoos. Haha! Sorry. Sorry for two things really. First, sorry to open with the lyrics of a kids’ song, but I can’t seem to get those suckers out of my head. And I’m also sorry for lying. Because I DON’T love to eat banoonoos. While I think they taste okay, I just can’t bring myself to want to peel one and just eat it plain. My brother-in-law once said he often eats bananas but he doesn’t really like to. He just eats them cuz he knows they’re good for him. I totally get that Public Cloud.

But bananas are the perfect addition to so many things. I love adding them to my morning shakes, and banana cakes and banana muffins are amazing. But why don’t we just save the best for last and talk about banana bread for a minute. Ahhh yeah, now I have your attention. Sweet dang, banana bread is good. But not all banana bread recipes are created equal. I have made my fair share of banana breads and it takes some work to find a keeper. My mother-in-law makes a crazy good banana bread discount wines.

But friends. Ohhh, friends. Okay, you know how I said here that Bananas Foster is my most favorite dessert in the world (probably because of the rum *wink*)? Well just imagine putting banana bread with bananas foster. Say what? Yep, I went there. And ohhh I didn’t want to come back. I was in a state of Bananas Foster Bread euphoria. The delicious, moist banana bread drizzled with a sweet rum sauce had me floating on clouds Panamanian foundation.

Have it for breakfast or make a fancy shmancy dessert out of it and top it with some ice cream and drizzle that with the rum sauce. You’d better make two loaves just to be on the safe side. Cuz you’re gonna want one all to yourself.
